Hi to all.
I open this topic to talk only in English about the first match that Vllaznia will play in Sligo (Ireland) against Sligo Rovers FC.

I hope that Sligo supporters can tell more about their club and their town.

Please excuse my lack of Albanian but if any of you speak English you'll understand this

Are many of your fans planning on coming to Sligo next week for the first leg?

Welcome to our forum Sligoman,

I have move your post to the right topic.

I don't know haw many fans will go in Ireland to see the match, but think that no many fans will come, because the trip is very expensive.

Can you tell more about your club and your actual players, the stadium and the fans?

We plan to bring about 100 i would predict. About 30 have booked so far.

Our website currently has a virus so it is difficult to find information on our players.

Thanks.

Our club was formed in 1928. We are managed by English man(from Liverpool) Paul Cook. We qualified for Europe last season by finishing 4th in the League of Ireland. We would have finished 5th only Cork City were given a points deduction for going into administration/examinership. We play a summer season here so we are currently in the middle of our season and are in 8th place out of 10 teams, I do think we are better than this position indicates though.

We have a small squad of players and a lot of injuries at the moment. We have one current international and that is Romauld Boco who regularly plays for Benin. Boco and Rafael Cretaro make up our usual strikeforce. We have a player who used to play for Sheffield Wednesday in the Premiership, he's Owen Morrison. Unfortunately he hasn't performed as well as we'd like yet but has a lot of ability and could cause problems if he wanted to.

The stadium is called the Showgrounds. It has 2 stands each side. Both ends of the ground will be closed for the European game so the capacity of the ground is reduced to around 2,700 for this game.

We have a supporters/ultras group called Forza Rovers which formed in 2008. They used to do displays with flares, till rolls etc. but because of the fines from our FA, displays are now limited to TIFO's, banners etc. Their forum is http://sligorovers.proboards.com/index.cgi We should have about 30/40 fans coming over for our game on July 9th. Most are flying into Dubrovnik and hoping to bus it down.

What about your team? Do many of them play for the Albanian national team?

Sligo airport is only small, the only connection it has is to/from Dublin so you'd have to fly from London to Dublin and then Dublin to Sligo. Lots of airlines fly from London to Dublin, www.ryanair.ie www.aerlingus.ie www.britishairways.com to name just a few, plenty more too though. Then to fly to Sligo you'd use www.aerarann.ie

If you dont want to fly to Sligo then you can also get a bus( www.buseireann.ie ) or train ( www.irishrail.ie ) from Dublin city centre. Or hire a car at Dublin airport, it would take approximately 2hours 30 minutes to drive to Sligo.

As for match tickets, I'm not exactly sure but our tickets are already on sale. Away fans have to be given a certain percentage of tickets too so you should contact your club and see how they're issuing them. There's a small chance you could buy tickets on the night at the gate. Tickets are €20 for adults.

What is the situation for tickets for your home leg? How much are they and can you just buy them at the stadium over there?

Nope, they wont show the game. www.oceanfm.ie will have radio coverage of it, possibly just updates from the Showgrounds.
